A flaw in Microsoft's TabStrip ActiveX control (MSCOMCTL.OCX) allows attackers to run malicious code on your computer by opening a specially crafted document or visiting a malicious website. This is dangerous because it gives attackers full control of your system.
Remote code execution vulnerability in MSCOMCTL.OCX TabStrip ActiveX control exploitable through specially crafted Office documents or web pages that trigger system-state corruption. Attack requires user interaction (opening document/visiting page) and affects multiple Microsoft products including Office 2003-2010, SQL Server 2000-2008 R2, and related enterprise software. Successful exploitation results in arbitrary code execution with user privileges.
