Fortinet FortiOS has a flaw that exposes sensitive information when an attacker has already compromised the system. The attacker can use specially crafted requests to bypass security measures put in place to prevent persistent access.
CWE-200 information disclosure vulnerability in FortiOS 7.0–7.6.x allows a post-compromise remote attacker to bypass symbolic link persistency protections via crafted HTTP requests. Exploitation requires prior filesystem-level compromise and enables unauthorized access to sensitive data; impact is exposure of confidential information due to insufficient access controls on compromised systems.
