The SMA1000 appliance has a critical flaw that allows attackers to trick it into making requests to unintended servers without needing to log in. This can expose internal systems or sensitive data that should only be accessible internally.
A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the SMA1000 Work Place interface permits unauthenticated remote attackers to manipulate the appliance into issuing requests to arbitrary destinations. The lack of authentication requirement combined with insufficient request validation enables attackers to access internal resources, bypass network controls, and potentially interact with backend systems not exposed to the Internet.
